It started with the creation of a new six-cylinder engine with a compressor, with a volume of 4.0 and 6.3 liters, for installation on the company's large cars, which received names depending on the volume of the installed engines, Typ 400 and Typ 630. The potential laid down in the engines allowed increasing its volume first to 7.0 liters, and then to 7.1, bringing the power when working with a compressor to 225 horsepower.
